What is Lagree Fitness?
Lagree Fitness is a high-intensity, low-impact workout that combines strength training and cardio, focusing on muscle endurance, flexibility, and postural alignment. It is designed to provide a full-body workout while minimizing risk of injury.
Why the name "Tempo"?
So glad you asked! Go Slow to Grow! The slower your tempo of the exercises the more advanced and challenging your practice becomes. Lagree Fitness utilizes slow, controlled movements. Momentum is avoided at all times. When working with and against resistance slowly, the tension on the muscles stays constant, recruiting more muscle fibers. Working the muscles with control keeps the joints safe and stimulates the intrinsic muscle fibers and connective tissues. Slow, controlled movements activate the body's slow-twitch, fat-burning muscle fibers. This effectively stimulates the body for maximum results
What is the difference between Lagree and Pilates?
Lagree is a high intensity, low impact strength training. In Lagree we focus on precision in form and body alignment, as well as a controlled slow TEMPO, and the most effective range of motion to stimulate optimal muscle fiber recruitment. Pilates is low-impact, low intensity. Joseph Pilates designed the exercises as a regenerative or rehabilitative method, primarily focused on functional movement, breath and centering.

What should I bring and wear to class?
We REQUIRE grip socks for class, if you do not have grip socks we sell them at the studio in our boutique. Please wear comfortable athletic wear that allows for unrestricted movement and that makes you feel confident. This is a place of non-judgement regardless of what your clothing choice may be, wear a little, wear a lot, feel empowered in your own body. If you would like to bring a water bottle, we ask that it is a non-glass water bottle with a lid.
